Ugg… Here comes the weekend again…!

We, New Orleanian’s that is, are in a spring time funk as far as the weather patterns are concerned.  I am writing at the end of my Friday workday with mostly clear skies in my window and a beautiful current temperature of 81 degrees just mocking me as I finish out the day.

Here is my afternoon view of the outside world!  Cruel & unusual punishment…

The weekend forecast looks like total crap and basically insures that my beloved RT will remain parked once again.  To add insult to injury, the rain is forecast to start rmid-afternoon, when I would be getting off of work and could potentially ride for a bit.

I am beginning to have a very severe case of P.M.S….

Parked Motorcycle Syndrome

Parked Motorcycle Syndrome

Parked Motorcycle Syndrome that is, as the last few times I have been able to ride consisted of me dropping off my RT at the dealership in Baton Rouge for 10 days for them to ferret out what was causing my battery to drain after a few days of laying up in my garage.  And of course I was treated to a brief ride home when I picked her up.  Turns out, it was my iPhone charger that had a small LED that remained powered on even with the ignition switched off!

To further rub salt into my open wounds… here is what the forecast is calling for once the workweek resumes:

Go ahead and laugh… but I would say that we are about 2 days out of sync with the rain…

On a more positive note… My recovered and lowered seat returned after being reworked by Seth over at Laam Custom Seats in Redmond California.  It now has a nice low profile like the OEM seat, but should be more comfortable for the longer days in the saddle since it is a little wider and has a firmer foam padding for my rear.  I will have to reserve my final commentary on the comfort until after the weather and my work schedule chose to cooperate with me somewhere in the near (hopefully) future.

A good 400-600 mile day should tell the tale! (when that might happen is anybody’s guess at this point….)
