This day was defined by one word… RUN!  We spent the entire day running from a massive storm system that was spinning tornados all through Colorado and we had to abort our ride plan to drop south.  We had to keep pushing south and east and finally called it a day in Amarillo, Tx.

Not much to write about here, other than lots of miles, and a very dark ending to the day.  The last leg of the ride to the hotel was a challenge as there no light to speak of, other than from our headlamps and the occasional oncoming car or truck.  At one point, there was a train that looked like was closing in on us, until the roadway suddenly drop underneath the train tracks and then back to level again.  This was a very off-putting experience to say the least.
